Blakey is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 18 or more in the last three games he's played. Jagger Mardis was another key contributor, scoring 17 points.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Adair County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Connor Loy, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Loy has been hot recently, having posted 16 or more points the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Isaiah Cochran, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds and five assists.
Larue County's defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-8. As for Adair County, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Larue County and the Colonels will face off at 8:00 p.m. on February 2nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Kentucky (Caverna is ranked 74th, while the Hawks are ranked 62nd). As for Adair County, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Campbellsville is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
