For the second straight game, Wake Christian Academy will face off against St. David. The Bulldogs will head out on the road to face off against the Warriors at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. Wake Christian Academy's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They blew past St. David's 14-0. Considering the Bulldogs have won six matches by more than seven runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Brody Morris was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
In other pitching news, Nathan Winstead looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in eight consecutive appearances.

Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Trace Turner, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Grayson Durrant also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Wake Christian Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .423. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive contests.
Wake Christian Academy has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for St. David's, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.
