Madison Christian had lost three straight on the road, but on Saturday they dropped their record down to 5-9 to make it four. They came up short against Liberty Christian Academy, falling 11-2. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, Madison Christian couldn't push the score so high this time.
Madison Christian saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Patrick Foster, who went 1-for-3 with two runs.
As for Liberty Christian Academy, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-5. They not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since May 2, 2024 (when they won 15-2).
On Liberty Christian Academy's side, Luke Mollohan and Dawson Kamppi made a big impact while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Mollohan pitched two innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Meanwhile, Kamppi pitched 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. What's more, Mollohan posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. At the plate, Mollohan got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI, while Kamppi got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Logan Dyer was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That stolen base was his first of the season. Drew Fye was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Looking ahead, Madison Christian will take on Shekinah Christian at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Liberty Christian Academy, they will venture away from home to square off against Granville Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
