Softball Recap: Tuesday's Victory Is Ooltewah's 19th in Last 22 Outings

There's no place like home for Ooltewah, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They never let the Howard Tech Hustlin' Tigers get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory on Tuesday. The Owls might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 21 matches by six runs or more this season.

Jaeda Tucker made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in ten consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, ten RBI, and two runs. Those ten RBI gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Kaylin Leblanc was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Ellie McCabe, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs.

Ooltewah has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 19 of their last 22 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.1 runs over those games. As for Howard Tech, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-10.

Ooltewah has already played their next game, a 4-0 victory against Bradley Central on the 5th. As for Howard Tech, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 14-2 win against Brainerd on the 1st.
