Mercedes has gone  a perfect 10-0 against Pace recently and they'll look to pad the win column further  on Thursday. The Tigers will head out on the road to  square off against  the Vikings  at 7:00  p.m. Mercedes is coming into the  match hot, having won their last six games.
If Mercedes beats Pace with six  runs on Thursday, it's going to be the  team's new lucky number: they've won their past two  contests with that exact score. The Tigers had just enough and edged out Lopez  6-5.

 Abigail Trevi?o spent all nine innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned runs on 11 hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been consistent  recently: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in three consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side,  Ashley De Leon was  excellent,  going 2-for-5 with one  home run and two  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Rhianna Sierra, who  scored a  run while going 3-for-5.
 De Leon wasn't the only one making solid contact: Mercedes  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 14  hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their  hit total in three consecutive  games.
Meanwhile, Pace beat Rivera 6-3  on Tuesday. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for the Vikings.
Pace also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in:  Luna Juarez gave up only one earned  (and two unearned) runs on six hits.
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Sofia Alejandro, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 3-for-4. That's the most  hits  she has posted since back in February.  Victoria Vasquez was another key player,  scoring a  run and  stealing two bases while going 3-for-4.
 Mercedes' victory was  their third straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 16-6. The  home  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 8.7 runs over those games. As for Pace,  the  victory  got them back to even at 11-11.
Thursday's   match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Mercedes hasn't had any issues making contact this season,  having earned a batting average of .366. However, it's not like Pace struggles in that department as   they've  averaged .336. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
 Everything went Mercedes' way against Pace in their previous matchup  back in March, as Mercedes made off with  a  12-2 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the  squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
