Enochs is on a three-game streak of home wins, while Gregori is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The two teams, after both having extra time off, will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Enochs barely beat Pitman the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Eagles were the clear victors by an 11-5 margin over the Pride last Thursday.
Kaylee Ruiz spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and three unearned) runs on 11 hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Lillian Camarena, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in May of 2025. Another player making a difference was Camila Ramirez, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Enochs hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in four consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Gregori). Everything went their way against Turlock last Thursday as they made off with an 18-6 win. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.
Sienna Villanueva made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Villanueva was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
In other batting news, Gregori got a massive performance out of Layah Belle, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base. Angie Hoffman was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI.
Gregori's win bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Enochs, their victory bumped their record up to 7-1.
Tuesday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Enochs hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .356. However, it's not like Gregori struggles in that department as they've averaged .334. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Enochs skirted past Gregori 5-4 in their previous meeting on March 5th. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Jaguars turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
