There wasn't a ton of movement in the power rankings this week, but there was certainly enough to keep things interesting. We'll tackle that and more in this week's report.
Can't Touch This
West Plains got a 56 - 18 win over Glendale last week, and a key reason for the win was junior Brayden Lidgard. Lidgard rushed for 224 yards and four touchdowns. In fact, our algorithms singled out Lidgard as one of the top players in the power rankings for the week.
This Week's Big Showdown
One of the hottest tickets last week involved the clash between Ladue Horton Watkins (4th in the power rankings) and Kirkwood (16th). Ladue Horton Watkins claimed a 34 - 21 victory over Kirkwood. As a result, Ladue Horton Watkins rose one spot in the power rankings.
Look Out Below
The dubious honor of 'biggest faller' in the power rankings this week goes to Vianney, who dropped down 12 spots after its game against Elder. There's no need to mince words: Vianney lost to Elder, and it lost bad. The score wound up at 48 - 7. The fight Vianney demonstrated in its 77 - 31 win the game before seemed replaced by lethargy in this one.
Next Week's Big Game
The big showdown in the power rankings this week is between Rockhurst (3rd in the power rankings) and Park Hill (17th). Rockhurst is backed by a win while Park Hill is motivated by a recent defeat.
