Vision extended their losing streak to eight on Monday, dropping them down to 1-11. They lost 22-15 to the Marsing Huskies. Even if Vision couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Dylan Warth and Payton Williams stepped up to the plate in a big way. Warth went a perfect 4-for-4 with three stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs, while Williams got on base in all five of his plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and three RBI. Williams is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.
As for Marsing, they moved to 7-11 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak. The result was nothing new for the Huskies, who have now won six contests by six runs or more so far this season.
On Marsing's side, Heston McIntyre made a big impact no matter where he played. He tossed 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. McIntyre was even better at the plate, getting on base in five of his six plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and two RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Marsing's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is 2-1 (and 5-10 when he doesn't).
In other batting news, Marsing got a massive performance out of Peyton Showalter, who got on base in all six of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. Showalter has become a key player for the Huskies: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 4-11 otherwise. Niko Godina was another key player, getting on base in all six of his plate appearances with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs.
We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Vision will challenge rival Melba at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Marsing is set to square off against their familiar foe Nampa Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
