New Manchester is 8-2 against Alexander since November of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Jaguar will head out on the road to challenge the Cougars at 6:00 p.m. This will be New Manchester's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
Two weeks ago, New Manchester didn't have too much trouble with Collins Hill as they won 48-30. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Jaguar.

New Manchester can attribute much of their success to Devin Furgess, who shot 45% from the field en route to 17 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals, and Andrea Guilford, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and ten boards. Furgess' afternoon made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least 17 points. Jaidyn Hill also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.
New Manchester smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Collins Hill only pulled down five.
Meanwhile, you can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Alexander's strategy against Pope on Saturday. The Cougars came out on top against the Greyhounds by a score of 55-46. With that win, the Cougars brought their scoring average up to 50.7 points per game.
New Manchester better keep an eye on Nimah Ibidunni. She was instrumental in Alexander's win, dropping a double-double with 22 points and ten rebounds. Ibidunni has been hot, having posted eight or more boards the last five times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Mekiya Hinton, who posted 11 points.
The victory got Alexander back to even at 3-3. As for New Manchester, their record is now 4-1.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: New Manchester has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 30.8 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Alexander struggles in that department as they've been averaging 33.5 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
New Manchester couldn't quite finish off Alexander in their previous meeting back in February and fell 54-52. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Ibidunni, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and 11 rebounds. Now that the Jaguar know the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? There's only one way to find out.
