Basketball Game Preview: Bluff Dale Bobcats vs. Huckabay Indians

Bluff Dale is 0-10 against Huckabay since February of 2020 but things could change on Friday. The Bluff Dale Bobcats will venture away from home to face off against the Huckabay Indians at 7:30 p.m. Bluff Dale is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.5 points per game this season.

Bluff Dale will head into Friday's contest out to bounce back: they won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Friday. They lost 55-32 to Iredell.

Bluff Dale's loss came about despite a quality game from Ben Stewart, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 13 rebounds. Stewart is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down nine or more in the last six games he's played. Alex Saucedo was another key player, putting up three points in addition to nine rebounds and three steals.

Even though they lost, Bluff Dale smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in seven consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, Huckabay waltzed into their game on Tuesday with nine straight wins... but they left with ten. They blew past the Dragons 59-37. The Indians have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 21 points or more this season.

Huckabay pushed their record up to 18-12 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.0 points per game. As for Bluff Dale, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-12.

Bluff Dale was taken down by Huckabay 70-40 in their previous meeting on January 7th. That match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Bluff Dale was down 44-21.
