Cheney has gone a perfect 8-0 against Ferris recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Blackhawks will venture away from home to take on the Saxons at 4:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Mt. Spokane hit Cheney with a four-run third inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Blackhawks lost 9-2 to the Wildcats. The loss continues a trend for the Blackhawks in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost nine in a row.

Millie Beito made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one triple and one run. Another player making a difference was Mia Ashcroft, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Ferris was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against Mead, falling 11-4.

Donyelle Strauss was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Ferris' loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Cheney, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 6-11.

Ferris' hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. Cheney has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.7 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Ferris, though, as they've been averaging only 3 strikeouts. Will Cheney keep running through batters, or will the Saxons buck the trend?

Cheney was able to grind out a solid win over Ferris when the teams last played back in March, winning 10-6. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Blackhawks since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
