Monta Vista extended the longest winning streak in El Camino this week by beating Los Altos, 35-14. The victory was the fourth in a row for the Matadors.
Gunn moved up to 591 from 641 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Titans were able to make move up by topping Cupertino 33-6.
Fremont's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Ricky Teo threw for 139 and four touchdowns and Keenan Smith had 90 yards receiving. On the ground Smith chipped in 389 yards. Joeseph De Los Santos helped Fremont's passing attack out by catching two balls for 43 yards.
Harker's Spenser Quash and Robert Deng have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Quash has thrown for 1775 yards this season, while Deng has 42 catches for 579 yards. The Firebirds' Smith leads the league in rushing yards with 1287.
A big matchup in El Camino this week will be when Monta Vista takes on Gunn. Jeff Mueller's team is currently in second, while Dan Navarro's team is in third.
