Church Point hadn't done well against Ville Platte recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Church Point Bears snuck past the Ville Platte Bulldogs with a 64-59 win. The victory was nothing new for the Bears as they're now sitting on four straight.

Church Point pushed their record up to 23-9 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.0 points over those games. As for Ville Platte, their loss dropped their record down to 17-10.

Church Point and Ville Platte are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Church Point will be playing at home against Oak Grove at 6:00 p.m. on February 28th. Oak Grove will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Church Point surely won't give up without a fight. As for Ville Platte, they will square off against Jena on February 28th.
