Arlington Heights has played every game this season on their home court, but they'll have to hit the road on Thursday. They will face off against the Chapin Huskies at 7:00 p.m. Arlington Heights will be strutting in after a win while Chapin will be coming in after a defeat.
Last Monday, Arlington Heights didn't have too much trouble with Alvarado at home as they won 52-35.
Meanwhile, Chapin's 28-7 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They fell 45-33 to Bel Air on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Chapin can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 626th, while Bel Air is ranked 211th).
Despite their defeat, Chapin saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Izabella Zamora, who scored 6 points, was perhaps the best of all. The team also got some help courtesy of Autumn Blackwell, who scored 6 points.
Arlington Heights pushed their record up to 4-1 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.0 points per game. As for Chapin, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season.
