After two games on the road, Annapolis Area Christian is heading back home. They will take on the Concordia Prep Saints at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Wednesday, Annapolis Area Christian suffered a tough 72-50 loss at the hands of Severn School. While losing is never fun, Annapolis Area Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 160th, while Severn School is ranked 25th).
Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Concordia Prep's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They took a 59-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of Chapelgate Christian Academy. Concordia Prep has not had much luck with Chapelgate Christian Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Annapolis Area Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Concordia Prep, they now have a losing record at 6-7.
Everything came up roses for Annapolis Area Christian against Concordia Prep in their previous matchup back in December of 2016 as the team secured a 83-37 win. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Concordia Prep's Arron Stephens, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Now that he won't be playing on Friday, will it be that much easier for Annapolis Area Christian to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
