The Logan Chieftains lost against the Dublin Jerome Celtics back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Logan received a tough blow as they fell 42-28 to Dublin Jerome. Logan has not had much luck with Dublin Jerome recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Logan's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dani Mahaffey, who scored six points along with six rebounds. Kinsey Myers was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Logan has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. As for Dublin Jerome, their win bumped their record up to 7-1.
Logan will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on St. Francis DeSales at 7:30 p.m. on January 9th. Dublin Jerome will finish 2023 at home by hosting Avon at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Avon focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Wednesday.
