Aaron Parnell made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only two hits over six innings pitched. What's more, he gave up only zero earned runs, the fewest he's had since back in March of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Matthew Pitts was excellent, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. Luis Ortiz was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-4.
Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Eastside's offense. They came up short against Branford on Thursday, falling 15-0.
Fort White's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-0. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs over those games. As for Eastside, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4-2.
