The Sutter Huskies and the Woodland Wolves will meet in a canine-themed contest  at 6:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
 Last Monday, Sutter was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap  as they fell  26-20 to Casa Roble. The Huskies have now  taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was  Sydney Meagher, who rushed for 45 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 108 yards and a touchdown. That's the most  rushing yards  she has posted since back in August.
 Sutter didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as  Meagher,  Emily Kennedy,  and  Akirah Bremmer picked up one apiece.
 Meanwhile, Woodland came up short against El Camino on Monday and fell  27-14.
 Sutter's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Woodland, their loss dropped their record down to 4-8.
 Sutter strolled past Woodland when the teams last played  back in September by a score of  32-14. The rematch might be a little tougher for Sutter since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
