Maranatha Baptist secured a 59-54 W over Rock County Christian on Tuesday. That's another feather in the cap for Maranatha Baptist, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Rock County Christian's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tony Thompson, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 18 rebounds. Thompson hasn't dropped below two steals for seven straight games. Gabriel Thompson was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with seven assists.
Maranatha Baptist pushed their record up to 10-1 with that victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.3 points per game. As for Rock County Christian, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Maranatha Baptist will take on Waukesha Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Rock County Christian, they will be playing at home against Mountain Top Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Mountain Top Christian will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Wisconsin Rankings (they are ranked 307th, while Rock County Christian is ranked 126th).
