The Castle View Sabercats are taking a road trip to challenge the Willow Canyon Wildcats at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday. Castle View is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.

Castle View proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by nine) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past O'Connor 4-3.

Ethan Scott spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits and racked up seven Ks. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in April of 2024.

At the plate, Castle View let Samuel Harry and Tommy Feldhake run wild. Harry scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3, while Feldhake scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-2. Zachary Bitton also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

While Willow Canyon didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. Everything went their way against Chaparral on Tuesday as Willow Canyon made off with a 10-2 win. Considering the Wildcats have won six matchups by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Willow Canyon also got a great performance from KJ Kovaly as he struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits (and not a single walk). That's the most strikeouts Kovaly has posted since back in March of 2024.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Cameron Davidson, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024. Kodi Carlson was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

The victory (which was Willow Canyon's fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Castle View, their record is now 4-1.
