The Faith Baptist School Falcons's game last Thursday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 39-13 margin over Concord Christian Academy. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Faith Baptist School also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
Faith Baptist School was led to victory by Kiersten Yates HS and Nevina Jenkins HS. Yates HS scored eight points along with 11 rebounds and three steals, while Jenkins HS scored six points along with 15 rebounds and three steals. Jenkins HS hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Reinert, who scored nine points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Faith Baptist School pushed their record up to 5-2 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. As for Concord Christian Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Faith Baptist School will take on Holly Grove Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Holly Grove Christian will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Maryland Rankings (they are ranked 255th, while Faith Baptist School is ranked 35th). As for Concord Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to take on Faith Baptist School at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
