Softball Recap: Berkeley Has No Trouble Against Arroyo

Berkeley barely beat Arroyo the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Yellowjackets were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Dons on Friday. The Yellowjackets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten contests by seven runs or more this season.

Olive Lightfoot spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up 13 Ks.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Arielle Henriquez, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and one double. Ayshia Bell Vorkoeper was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Berkeley's win bumped their record up to 13-4. As for Arroyo, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-10.
