The South Lafourche Tarpons will challenge the Patrick Taylor Science & Tech Academy Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
South Lafourche's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. Everything went their way against Salmen as South Lafourche made off with a 16-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tarpons.

Kooper Worley was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over four innings pitched. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in strikeouts. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jack Ledet, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. He is becoming a predictor of South Lafourche's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 5-1 (and 5-6 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Josh Mack, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.
South Lafourche kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in five consecutive games.
Patrick Taylor Science & Tech Academy never got on the board in their matchup on Tuesday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Bonnabel last Wednesday. They were the clear victor by a 14-3 margin over the Bruins. With that win, the Tigers brought their scoring average up to 6.5 runs per game.
Jeremy Gibson was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged two or more in each of the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Gibson, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-4.
South Lafourche's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-7. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Patrick Taylor Science & Tech Academy, their win bumped their record up to 5-8.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. South Lafourche has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Patrick Taylor Science & Tech Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.5 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
South Lafourche took their victory against Patrick Taylor Science & Tech Academy when the teams last played back in March of 2022 by a conclusive 9-3.
