Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Chamblee Bulldogs, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They were outmatched by Coffee on the road and fell 56-0. Having soared to a lofty 49 points in the game before, Chamblee couldn't push the score so high this time.
Fred Brown was the offensive standout of the matchup as he rushed for 140 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries. Brown is absolutely dominating the rushing yard category: he's posted at least 100 every time he's taken the field this season. Tyrese Hansley was in the mix as well, providing Coffee with two touchdowns.
Chamblee's defeat was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 4-7. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 16.0 points per game. As for Coffee, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.
Chamblee does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Coffee will face off against Jones County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Jones County is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
