The Fordham Prep Rams have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 20 points or more this season. They breezed by Kennedy Catholic on the road to the tune of 73-42. With Fordham Prep ahead 40-20 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Ryan Jackson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 24 points along with three steals. The matchup was his sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Matthew Herlick, who scored 12 points along with seven assists and five rebounds.
The victory makes it two in a row for Fordham Prep and bumps their season record up to 8-2. As for Kennedy Catholic, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Fordham Prep will be playing at home against Stevenson at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Stevenson will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New York Rankings (they are ranked 436th, while Fordham Prep is ranked 94th). Kennedy Catholic will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Salesian at 5:00 p.m. on January 30, 2024.
