The Bothell Cougars fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against the North Creek Jaguars on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Jaguars by a score of 77-74. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game last Friday (59), Bothell still had to take the loss.
Several Cougars players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jarell Fermon, who scored 25 points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Fermon has scored all season. Blake Skinner was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with five assists and three steals.
Even though they lost, Bothell were working as a unit and finished the game with 22 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as North Creek only racked up 13 assists.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead North Creek to victory, but perhaps none more so than Romen Jackson, who scored 17 points along with four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Silas Woodward, who scored 20 points along with eight rebounds.
Bothell are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-14. As for North Creek, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-7.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Inglemoor the next time they take the court. North Creek will host Inglemoor at 7:15 p.m. on Friday, while Bothell will head out to face them at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
