Little Elm is 1-7 against Guyer since December of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit  on Tuesday. The Little Elm Lobos will head out on the road to  take on  the Guyer Wildcats at 7:00  p.m. Little Elm knows how to get  points on the board -- the  team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully Guyer likes a good challenge.
 Little Elm pushed their score all the way to 60 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of McKinney by a score of  62-60. Little Elm has struggled against McKinney recently, as their  contest on Friday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
 Despite the  defeat, Little Elm had strong showings from  Kensington Candler, who  scored 19 points, and  Camron Brown, who  scored 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Brock Daly, who  scored nine points along with two  steals.
 Meanwhile,  even though Prosper scored an imposing 63 points on Friday, Guyer still came out on top. Guyer enjoyed a cozy  79-63 win over Prosper. Given Guyer's advantage  in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings  (they are ranked 28th, while Prosper is ranked 264th), the result  wasn't entirely unexpected.
 Little Elm has  traveled a rocky road recently having  lost nine of their last 11 games,  which put a noticeable dent in their 14-17 record  this season. As for Guyer,  the  victory  made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 23-10.
 Little Elm came up short against Guyer when the teams last played  back in January, falling  84-72. Can Little Elm avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
