The Trinity Catholic Celtics will challenge the Buchholz Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Trinity Catholic barely beat Crystal River the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Celtics never let the Pirates get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory on Tuesday. The win was familiar territory for the Celtics, who have now won three matchups in a row.

Oakley Hayhurst looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March of 2025.
At the plate, Trinity Catholic let Mathew Wetherell and Nick Tanko run wild. Wetherell went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI, while Tanko went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI Tanko has posted since back in February of 2025. Gavin Greathouse was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Trinity Catholic always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .538. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Crystal River only posted an OBP of .391.
The scorekeeper got an easy start on Saturday as neither Buchholz nor Berkeley Prep made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Bobcats blew past the Buccaneers 7-0.
Reed Thomas looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Drew Almond, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashton Norris, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Buchholz's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Trinity Catholic, their win bumped their record up to 8-1.
Trinity Catholic was able to grind out a solid victory over Buchholz when the teams last played two weeks ago, winning 9-5. Do the Celtics have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bobcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
