Harrison County had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They crushed Fleming County 47-6. Harrison County was expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
No one had a larger role in the success than senior Chase Blanton, who brought his A game into the match. He rushed for 177 yards and 4 touchdowns. One of the most memorable plays of the game was White's 57-yard touchdown rush in the third quarter. This was the first game for both teams, giving Harrison County a 1-0 record and starting Fleming County off at 0-1.
Next week, Harrison County take on George Rogers Clark at 7:30 PM. As for Fleming County, they will face of against Mason County.
