The North Hollywood Huskies are on the road again on Wednesday and plays the Manual Arts Toilers at 7:00 p.m. on February 14th. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but North Hollywood had no problem doing just that on Friday. They slipped by the Rough Riders 45-44.
Meanwhile, Manual Arts can now show off 19 landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. They breezed by South East at home to the tune of 93-26. Winning may never get old, but Manual Arts sure is getting used to it with their tenth in a row.
Devin Moody continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 31 points and 12 rebounds. He also posted eight assists for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of RJ Dawson, who scored 23 points along with eight rebounds and five assists.
North Hollywood's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-19. As for Manual Arts, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 19 of their last 20 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 26-2 record this season.
North Hollywood was able to grind out a solid win over Manual Arts in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, winning 70-59. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Manual Arts' Isaiah Lightfoot, who almost dropped a double-double on 26 points and nine rebounds. Now that he won't be playing on Wednesday, will it be that much easier for North Hollywood to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
