DuSable has been on the road for two straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Kelly Trojans at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
DuSable scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 79-46 win over Gage Park on the road. DuSable has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 20 points or more this season.
DuSable found their leader in underclassman Jesse Suggs, who scored 22 points along with eight rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Suggs has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ave'Veyon Watkins, who scored 13 points.
Kelly posted their biggest win yet this season on Thursday. They breezed by Victoria Soto at home to the tune of 68-33. The win made it back-to-back wins for Kelly.
DuSable's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.5 points per game. As for Kelly, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.
DuSable couldn't quite finish off Kelly when the teams last played back in January of 2022 and fell 45-42. Can DuSable avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
