Normal West's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They blew past Peoria 19-0. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by six runs or more this season.

Reagan Williams and Ryder Coone made a splash while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Williams pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Coone tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had over his last six matches. At the plate, Williams got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI, while Coone went 2-for-3 with four stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Coone is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played.
In other batting news, Normal West got a massive performance out of Drew Hart, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases and three runs. That's the most stolen bases Hart has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Gage Flairty, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double.
Normal West was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .588. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Peoria only posted a batting average of .000.
Meanwhile, Danville fell victim to Peoria Notre Dame and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They lost 10-0 to the Irish. The loss continues a trend for the Vikings in their meetings with the Irish: they've now lost six in a row.
Normal West's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-8. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for Danville, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-16.
