Meanwhile, Tanque Verde pushed their score all the way to 56 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 62-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of Safford.
Tanque Verde's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Eli Clausen, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds, and Rich Knott who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. Clausen is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games he's played.
Catalina bumped their record down to 1-11 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Tanque Verde, their loss dropped their record down to 9-8.
