The Easley Green Wave will head out on the road to take on the Westside Rams at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Easley has struggled recently with three losses in a row, while Westside will arrive with four straight wins.
Things were looking good for Easley after they put the first run on the board on Wednesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hillcrest.

Jalyn McGee spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on three hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Easley saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Beooke Wilson, who went 1-for-3 with one double. That double was Wilson's first of the season.
Westside let Fountain Inn stack five runs on them in the fourth inning on Monday but luckily Westside prevailed anyway. The Rams walked away with a 10-5 victory over the Fury. That's two games straight that the Rams have won by exactly five runs.
The team relied heavily on Ryann Sanders, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Kirkus, who went 3-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
Westside kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in 14 consecutive matches.
Westside's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-6. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Easley, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-11.
Thursday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Easley hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .312. However, it's not like Westside struggles in that department as they've averaged .439. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
