Given Hillcrest Christian's advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 87th in Mississippi, while Franklin Academy is ranked 256th in Louisiana), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Hillcrest Christian's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-6. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 38.33 points. As for Prairie View Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 12-4.
Friday's matchup is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Hillcrest Christian have been smashing the glass this season, having only averaged 31.1 rebounds per game. It's a different story for Prairie View Academy, though, as they've been averaging only 31.2 rebounds per game. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
