The Graham Steers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They suffered a tough 47-21 defeat at the hands of Childress. Graham was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Childress apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November.
Childress' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Journey Prince, who scored 14 points along with three steals. Joshlynn Roark was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Graham bumped their record down to 6-9 with that defeat, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 26.2 points per game. As for Childress, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-15.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Graham won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Bowie at 2:30 p.m. on December 29th. Bowie has now lost ten straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 20. As for Childress, they will head out on the road to face off against Quanah at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
