The Masuk Panthers lost to the Immaculate Mustangs back in February of 2023, but the Masuk Panthers didn't allow the Immaculate Mustangs the same satisfaction on Monday. Masuk walked away with a 57-46 win over the Mustangs.
Despite the defeat, Immaculate saw an underclassman step up: Kendra Foy scored 13 points along with five steals. Foy is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed four or more in the last three games she's played. Kristina Asmani was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with three steals.
Masuk is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season. As for Immaculate, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-5.
Masuk will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against the Spartans at 7:00 p.m. Maloney is no doubt hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses. As for Immaculate, they will head out on the road to face off against the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Pomperaug will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.
