Elm Creek extended the longest winning streak in D1 District 9 (8 Man) this week by beating Burwell, 42-40. The victory was the sixth in a row for the Buffaloes.
Arapahoe took down Maxwell 16-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Caden Weverka threw for eight yards and one touchdown and ran for 76 yards in the win.
Alma's Brady Stuhmer and Jarrod Bantam have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Stuhmer has thrown for 1050 yards this season, while Bantam, a 6-foot-1 receiver, has 22 catches for 524 yards. The Warriors' Weverka leads the league in rushing yards with 1052.
Elm Creek and the Longhorns played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with Elm Creek eventually emerging with a 42-40 victory.
