The Tri County Northeast Wolfpack are on the road again on Tuesday and plays the Bancroft-Rosalie Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on February 13th. Hopefully Tri County Northeast focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Saturday.
Last Saturday, Tri County Northeast was able to grind out a solid win over Omaha Nation, taking the game 60-51.
Tri County Northeast got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Rhyanne Mackling out in front who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine rebounds. Briley Anderson was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Bancroft-Rosalie beat Logan View/Scribner-Snyder 43-37 on Friday. The win made it back-to-back wins for Bancroft-Rosalie.
It was another big night for Makenna James, who scored seven points along with nine rebounds and eight steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last nine games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kenidee McClain, who scored five points along with three steals.
Tri County Northeast's victory ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-13. As for Bancroft-Rosalie, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.
This contest is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Tri County Northeast have been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 29.1 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Bancroft-Rosalie struggles in that department as they've been averaging 32.4 rebounds per game. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
