The Greenfield-Central Cougars will head out on the road to square off against the East Central Trojans at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Greenfield-Central is coming into the game hot, having won their last six games.
It was a proper cat-fight when Greenfield-Central faced off against Lawrence North on Friday. The Cougars walked away with an 8-3 win over the Wildcats.

At the plate, Greenfield-Central let Savvanna Riall and Charlotte Riehle run wild. Riall got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run and two RBI, while Riehle went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Riall has been hot, having posted at least one home run the last five times she's played. Another player making a difference was Kristen Wineinger, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
Meanwhile, East Central didn't have quite enough to beat Jennings County on Friday and fell 5-3. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
East Central also got a good showing from Kelsey Koth, who didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. Furthermore, Koth didn't allow a single earned run, the first time she has blanked an opponent over her last three contests.
On the hitting side, Taylor Sommer was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI. Kasey Knapp was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run.
East Central's defeat dropped their record down to 16-8. As for Greenfield-Central, their victory bumped their record up to 14-7.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Saturday. Greenfield-Central hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 1 home runs per game. However, it's not like East Central struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.6 home runs.
