The Lake Minneola Hawks won the last time they faced the Forest Lake Academy Panthers, and things went their way on Wednesday too. Lake Minneola breezed by Forest Lake Academy at home to the tune of 71-29. The win made it back-to-back wins for Lake Minneola.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lake Minneola to victory, but perhaps none more so than Aliyah Perry, who scored 22 points along with 8 steals and 6 assists. Perry is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Amaya Pierre-Jerome, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 10 rebounds.
Lake Minneola now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Forest Lake Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Lake Minneola will head out on the road to face off against East Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Forest Lake Academy won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Foundation Academy at 7:30 p.m. on November 30th. Hopefully Foundation Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Tuesday.
