Davenport waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They managed a 60-55 victory over the Lake Wales Highlanders. For the Broncos, this counts as revenge for the 51-49 win the Highlanders walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2023.

When it comes to explaining why Lake Wales lost, don't look at Siled Morris. Despite the final result, he went 7 for 14 on his way to 19 points and eight rebounds. Morris continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Sebastian Perez, who posted eight points in addition to five boards and three steals.

Davenport's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Lake Wales, they dropped their record down to 3-2 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Davenport wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 90-85 defeat against McKeel Academy on the 12th. As for Lake Wales, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 57-48 win against George Jenkins on the 11th.
