The Windsor Central Black Knights kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They were outmatched by Chenango Forks on the road and fell 79-36. Windsor Central was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-16.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Chenango Forks to victory, but perhaps none more so than Stephen Samsel, who scored 19 points along with 8 rebounds and 3 steals. Keegan Watson was another key contributor, scoring 10 points along with 9 rebounds and 6 steals.
Windsor Central's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Chenango Forks, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Windsor Central will be playing at home against Vestal at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Chenango Forks, they will head out on the road to face off against Susquehanna Valley at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
