Basketball Recap: Booker Piles Up the Points Against Bayshore

Booker won the last time they faced Bayshore and things went their way on Monday too. The Booker Tornadoes claimed a resounding 76-49 victory over the Bayshore Bruins. The Tornadoes have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 25 points or more this season.

Booker's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but J.P Lattimore led the charge by putting up 12 points. Another player making a difference was Chris Perets, who posted 11 points.

Despite the loss, Bayshore still got an impressive performance from Keshawn Parhm, who put up 16 points in addition to three steals and three blocks. Parhm has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 11 times he's played. Reggie Clemons also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

Booker pushed their record up to 8-8 with the win, which was their third straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 28.3 points. As for Bayshore, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last 11 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season.

Booker has already played their next game, an 89-55 defeat against Sarasota on the 14th. As for Bayshore, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, an 80-48 loss against Palmetto on the 15th.
