Everything went Sabino's way against Pueblo as Sabino made off with a 72-49 victory. That looming 72-49 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Sabino yet this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Sabino to victory, but perhaps none more so than Spencer Larson, who scored 16 points. The contest was Larson's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Caden Watkins, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Several Warriors players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Gabriel Alvarez, who scored eight points. The team also got some help courtesy of Silverio Rivera, who scored eight points along with three steals.
Sabino is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 4-12 record this season. As for Pueblo, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-14.
Sabino will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Catalina at 7:00 p.m. on January 9th. Pueblo and Canyon del Oro will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 8th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. The timing is sure in Canyon del Oro's favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home while Pueblo has been banged up by seven consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
