The River Ridge Royal Knights's 18-9 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They took a 42-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of Nature Coast Tech on Thursday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points River Ridge has scored all season.
Several Royal Knights players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Dareal KING, who scored six points along with six rebounds and four blocks. Those four blocks set a new season-high mark for him. JOHN GOLDEN was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
River Ridge has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season. As for Nature Coast Tech, their win bumped their record up to 7-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. River Ridge will take on Mitchell at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Nature Coast Tech won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Crystal River at 7:30 p.m. on January 12th. Crystal River is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
