In what's become a running theme this season, East New York Family Academy gave their fans yet another huge victory on Saturday. They breezed by Midwood on the road to the tune of 73-30. The win was just what East New York Family Academy needed coming off of a 73-48 loss in their prior contest.
Arianna Mercado continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, shooting 5-for-11 from long range and dropping a double-double on 30 points and 12 steals. Olivia Eugene was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with seven rebounds and five assists.
East New York Family Academy's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-5. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.2 points per game. As for Midwood, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-11.
East New York Family Academy will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Midwood at 4:30 p.m. Midwood will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New York Rankings (they are ranked 462nd, while East New York Family Academy is ranked 72nd). As for Midwood, they will head out on the road to take on East New York Family Academy at 4:30 p.m.
