Basketball Recap: Union County Extends Winning Streak to Five

Union County had won four straight games and Eric Gray did his part to make it five on Monday. The Union County Yellowjackets claimed a resounding 84-49 win over the Chester Cyclones thanks in part to Gray, who went 7 of 15 on his way to 22 points in addition to eight assists and six boards. His evening made it seven games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Jamison Parks, who posted 14 points and three steals. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

Union County pushed their record up to 6-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 29 points. As for Chester, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Union County will head out to take on Chester at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Union County's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven matchups. As for Chester, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 42-38 win against York on the 17th.
