Volleyball Recap: Pine View Snaps Three-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

The Pine View Panthers beat the Virgin Valley Bulldogs 3-1 on Wednesday.

Pine View had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-13, 25-10, 25-23.

Among those leading the charge was Genevieve Evans, who had 12 digs and four assists. That's the most digs she has posted since back in August.

Pine View was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. They are a perfect 5-0 when they serve at least ten aces.

Pine View's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-8. As for Virgin Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-7.

Coming up, Pine View will venture away from home to face off against Cedar at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. After both having extra time off, Virgin Valley and Cheyenne will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on the 25th.
