The West Adams Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fifth straight defeat. They fell 67-60 to Santee. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Santee's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Darnell Miller, who almost dropped a double-double on 24 points and nine rebounds. It was the first time this season that Miller pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Israel Snowden, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds.
West Adams has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-16 record this season. As for Santee, their win bumped their record up to 6-11.
West Adams will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Democrats at 4:30 p.m. Jefferson is no doubt hoping to put an end to a seven-game streak of away losses. Santee does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
